Izala Pride Football Academy, a program under The Non Governmental Organization called Bridge A Gap, begins Operations in Lilongwe.
Izala Pride Football Academy is pleased to announce that it has officially started football development activities for young players in Lilongwe, Malawi. Although the academy’s formal launch event is still being planned, training sessions are already underway as we work to identify, develop, and nurture talented young footballers.
The academy was established under the guidance of Bridge A Gap Initiative with a vision of using football as a tool for youth development, discipline, teamwork, and positive social change. Our goal is not only to develop skilled football players but also responsible young citizens who can contribute positively to their communities.
Since commencing operations, the academy has been conducting basic football training sessions focusing on ball control, passing, teamwork, fitness, and character development. Young players are being encouraged to embrace discipline, respect, hard work, and sportsmanship both on and off the field.
Izala Pride Football Academy welcomes boys and girls who are passionate about football and willing to learn. The academy aims to provide a safe and supportive environment where young talent can grow and pursue their football dreams.
The academy currently operates with basic training equipment and continues to seek support from individuals, companies, organizations, and well-wishers who share our vision of empowering young people through sport. Support can come in the form of football equipment, uniforms, sponsorship, training resources, or partnerships.
A formal launch ceremony will be announced in the near future, and members of the community, football stakeholders, sponsors, media houses, and youth development partners will be invited to celebrate this important milestone.
